Very busy week

L to R. Kneeling E. Martin and E. Hopkinson, E. Eck, E. Walton, E. Cleverly, Sis. Cleverly, Elder Christofferson and Sis. Milne. While the elders were waiting for their parents to arrive we had our picture taken with elder Christofferson. He was waiting for his wife to arrive on the same airplane. We had a very busy week. On Saturday all the missionaries in Lima serving in the four missions had a special conference at the MTC where elder Christofferson spoke as well as Nash and Clayton of the 70 and Edgley of the Presiding Bishopric. Then Monday thru Wednesday all the mission presidents from Venezuela to Bolivia were taught all day long by these same leaders. On Monday those going home had their testimony meeting. Wednesday the new missionaries arrived.

Elder Hopkinson greets his mother at the airport.
Our office staff elders. We had a change this week. Elder Eck was called to Urcos and elder Hales took his place with elder Malale as his companion. We will greatly miss elder Eck. One of the most talented elders in our mission. He is from Arizona.
Two very fine sisters. At one time they served together as companions. This week sister Milne went home and sister Norris was transferred to Puerto Maldonado. Sister Milne is from SLC and sister Norris from Alabama.
Elder and Sister Stull. She is the Area mental health director and brother Stull is an Area auditor. They live in Ecuador and serve Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia

Inka Shops

Inka Shops
There are hundreds and hundreds of little vendors selling their wares from clothing, dolls, purses, jewelry etc. We didn't buy anything but got a good idea of some of the things that they have.

Highway

Highway
One of many highways in Lima. This is Avenida Arequipa that runs north and south. Maybe 9-10 blocks from our apartment. During rush hour this road will be packed.

On our P-day we went to Miraflores and ate at a fantastic restaurant just above the cliff. The tall building in the background is the Marriott hotel. The name of the restaurant was Mangos. It was buffet.
